After college, my degree got me a few favors, prospects for doing what I’d initially intended were slim, my career was circling; odd jobs and fatigue from labor were hitting home. The restaurant industry was not going to be a good long-term plan. As a last-ditch effort, I reached out to a friend in the tech industry for a long shot at a job and they pointed me in the direction of Code Black. That simple act changed the direction of my life. With no prior experience in the industry Code Black gave me the training; portfolio necessary to land some amazing internships with some amazing people. Code Black’s community-focused strategy for getting just about anyone into technology is still helping me to this day pivot my entire life in a direction I’d never thought possible. To Code Black and David Pollock, thank you!

Code Black has encouraged me to mentor more individuals, as well as embrace other operating systems such as Kali Linux, Ubuntu, and Linux Mint.
Alex Horton (instructor)
Code black was that “missing middle” that I needed. The knowledge and support that Code Black provided helped me fill the Gap between me being just an employee with work experience and actually having the credentials and on-hand work experience that businesses are seeking in candidates. Since obtaining my CompTIA certification I have had several permanent job offers from reputable companies and actually have accepted a job offer with a starting wage that I can actually live and survive off of.
Thank you CODE Black Tech!

I never could have imagined how much I would grow professionally through Code Black Tech. I went from zero to full-stack in seven months. I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to learn from experienced teachers and seasoned mentors. Moreover, superb networking events, resumé critiques, paid internships, and scholarships have prepared me for the road ahead.
