CODE Black is a nonprofit devoted to improving individuals’ quality of life by equipping, empowering, and propelling them to a better future through a career in technology.

Purpose Statement
Our purpose is to provide opportunities to underserved and underrepresented communities to explore technology as a path toward improving individuals’ quality of life.
Diversity and Inclusion Statement
Pursue cultural competency throughout our organization by creating substantive
learning opportunities and formal, transparent policies.
Improve our cultural leadership pipeline by creating and supporting programs and
policies that foster leadership that reflects the diversity of our community.
Develop a system for being more intentional and conscious of bias during the
hiring, promoting, or evaluating process. Train our hiring team on equitable
practices.
Advocate for public and private-sector policy that promotes diversity, inclusion,
and equity.
Our Team
David Pollock, MA
Founder & CEO
David Pollock is a husband, father, and business owner whose goal is to help current and future Black and Brown technologists collaborate and innovate in order to grow both personally and professionally. David obtained his master’s in Organizational Leadership from Bellevue University and has certifications in IBM Cognitive Analytics (Chatbot) and Grow with Google (app development).
Before starting CODE Black, David worked in social work and as a college success advisor. After a successful career in coaching, mentoring, and developing programs, David now leads a community for people of color in technology to impact the very community that they live in.
David is available for youth and community networking
